WRITING

My first writing

In my point of view, this link contains evidence of my learning. Let's tell you step by step: It's the first e-mail I sent to Elisabeth last year. If you compare it with my last writing you'll see all my learning: vocabulary (set phrase, words...), grammar and other important things. The vocabulary I used to write was easier than now and I made mistakes so important! I don't want to say that now I don't do it (because my English isn't so good) but it's better than before.

My best writing

- CONTENT: There isn't my reason for writing my text, because it was a selectivity exam so… I haven’t reason to do it (well, yes, to have a good mark ) I didn’t ask questions to the reader because it wasn’t necessary. My only question was in the title I choose. I expose different ideas like I said: “There are a lot of people in the world, because of that, I'm sure there are a lot of opinions about this topic. As far as I'm concerned….” After that, I said my point of view.
When I wrote it, I thought about the pros and cons in that writing. I wasn’t safe about my ideas, but, after think I started to write. Of course, I justify my viewpoint: “Personally, I think nobody has to go to see a psychologist to solve his or her trouble. You shouldn't tell your problems to someone who didn't know you….” I express it politely.
I don’t back up my opinion with expert's comments.

GRAMMAR: The true is that I didn’t activate my grammar so much. I used some new vocabulary: trouble, I’m concerned, as a matter of fact, reliable, to a certain extent,… I checked my mistakes when I finished my writing; however Lourdes (my English teacher) corrected it.

VOCABULARY: Normally, I try to change the verb to be, to have for other verbs more sophisticated like solve. I didn’t repeat words because for example I used: troubles and problems (the same meaning and different words.)
In my point of view, the register was appropriate: formal language (I didn’t use colloquial sentences)
I linked my ideas with different connectors: that’s why, as a matter of fact, in short…

I think I have improve my expression, my fluency, my accent and something important more that you don't know: when I prepared my oral presentation I spent a lot of time writing it and now not. On the other hand, I'm safer than later and (if you look at my last presentation) it's not good I burst of laughing! I'm not pleased about it.

- STRUCTURE: It was a summary about the different kinds of love in Price and Prejudice (like we said in the beginning). In my presentation, there are some layout elements like the photos we used (moments in Price and Prejudice) I think that about the paragraphs structured are according to the topic. First about the less thing love until the more thing love; because of that, the ideas are in order of importance: the less importance until the more importance. In addiction, we used connectors to linked our topics (we look for in Internet!) And the writing was legible.

- CONTENT: We didn’t introduce the reason for writing our text but that you can imagine we are girls and we like the topics of love. I think it wasn’t necessary to tell. We ask some questions to attract our friends, like: ”In my opinion, this kind of love is very sweet; you can see the example of Mr. Darcy and Lizzie, don’t you?” and “Have you ever watched “Definitivamente, quizás”?”
We didn’t offer different viewpoints, only our.
We didn’t back up our opinion with examples or news. Only about the topic we speak.

-GRAMMAR: We activate our grammar. So in other presentation we speak about diseases we improve so much. We had to search vocabulary to say some things and we learn so much.

-VOCABULARY: We enrich our vocabulary! courtship, unrequited love, love at first sight, height… We try to change words to don’t repeat. (but I’m not sure we obtain it) WE didn’t use an informal language, because it was an oral presentation and we had to us formal language! We link our ideas with connectors: “at first about, let’s begin at the beginning, on the one hand/on the other hand, in my opinion, at first, to finish, nothing more to say….”

the woman who disappeared.

The book is about a disappearance. The main character is Samuel and he’s a detective. Once, a girl, Helen, went to his office to tell him that her sister, Elaine, disappeared. Helen say to him all she knew about her sister: They were twins; she lived in Los Angeles and Helen flew right across America too see her sister because she lived in New York.
First of all, Samuel went to Elaine’s house. He looked at her bedroom and he saw her wardrobe was almost empty! As you know, people who disappear don’t usually take most of their clothes with them. When he tried to go out, he found two men. They hit him.
Secondly, he went to Elaine’ office. He speaks with Suzy, her secretary. She told him Elaine meet a man who’s name was Benny Greep in Las Cabanas.
Thirdly, he obtained the address of Benny Greep. So, he went to his house and he found dead Benny. The police blamed Samuel on the death. But they let him go out.
When he arrived at his office he found a letter that said: I’m Helen, meet me at Club Cabanas. How does she know about cabanas it all if she didn’t live in Los Angeles?
He went to Cabanas at the time. Rarely, Helen went out before him. Samuel before go to his house, met the men who hit him in Elaine’ house. After that, they hit him another time. When he woke up, he was in a police station again. He police try to know more about dead Benny. Samuel told him all he knows about that topic and because of that, the police let him go.
After a lot of things, Samuel found out from the police and Jo (one of the men who had hit him) knows that Helen doesn’t exist.
Some time later, Samuel met Helen. He told her that Helen didn’t exist and the supposed Helen was Elaine. He forces her to tell him the truth. Then, she told him that she usually went to Las Cabanas to see Benny; once she had found out about some of the people who went to Cabanas every day were thief. They steal jewels. Elaine and Benny had tried to steal them the jewels. Elaine went to see Samuel because she was safer because someone was looking for her.
Jo and other man went to Elaine and Samuel were. Luckily, when their gun was pointing them the police arrived.

The truth is that there are a lot of turning points in the story. As you know, the book is about a disappearance, and it’s normal that there are.

In a lot of places like: the police station, Elaine’s house, Benny’s house, Las Cabanas, Samuel’s office… There isn’t an important place because all of them are important; but maybe, the most important place is able to be Club Cabanas.

The main characters are Samuel and Elaine.
Samuel is a detective
And Elaine is a girl who went to Samuel’s office to told him that her sister, disappeared. To tell you the truth, Elaine laid Samuel to say him that she has a sister. She invented a story that was: they were twins; her sister lived in Los Angeles and she, Helen, flew right across America too see her sister.

I describe Elaine because she is the only girl in the book.
The first time Elaine and Samuel meet, Elaine laid Samuel. She told him that she was Helen and her sister was disappeared. Helen didn’t exist and the supposed Helen was Elaine. She told him that she usually went to Las Cabanas to see Benny (because he was a musician) so... time before she found out about some of the people who went to Cabanas every day were thief.
In my point of view, she’s a strong character and, moreover, she was brave to do all she did.

Of course not. I haven’t all the troubles she has. And about the personality, I haven’t a strong character and... I’m cowardly.

My favourite moment is in the end of the story. I chose it because there is some moment funny. Elaine can’t pay Samuel to do all the work he had done, and because of that, he was very angry!

The end of the book it’s funny, and I like it. However, if I have to change it... I do it. It would be good if Elaine was bad and the story was told by her to Samuel was wrong. If the story is like I have said, maybe the book is more surprising!

I recommend this book because it’s easy to understand and it’s interesting. So, it’s a mystery book and it would be better that people who don’t like mystery don’t read it.

Swine flu sparks global concern;
Mexico epicenter of outbreak

It's very important this new: the new swine flue! Nowadays, we have a lot of pollution on the world, In addiction, there are new disease, new troubles, and new flues from time to time!

In the topic I choose, there are deaths, a lot of deaths; approximately 300 people have died and because of it people aren't safe! For example, the people you can see in the photo wear face pack. This make that people don't feel comfortable. Mexico has closed shops, churches... The govern of Mexico wouldn't advise people go out to their house! It's incredible that situation!

Write about the influence of psychologists on our society. Are they well concidered? Could they be the answer to our psychological necessities?

Could they psychologists be the answer to our psychological necessities?

There are a lot of people in the world, because of that, I'm sure there are a lot of opinions about this topic. As far as I'm concerned, it depends on your case, your life or your character you think different. Personally, I think nobody has to go to see a psychologist to solve his or her trouble. You shouldn't tell your problems to someone who didn't know you, like a relative or friend, becaues he or she can't know your case. For example, everybody speaks about his or her point of view. That's why, the psychologists can't know your case perfectly. However , there are people who haven't anybody to explain their problems. As a matter of fact, they need to tell it to the psychologist.

The psychologists are realiable, to a certain extent, it's better to believe in your relative. In short, psychologist are good people who can help you because it's their obligation, but their solution are different or more objective than friend!

Believe in yourserlf and try to solve your troubles alone.

Today in this tribunal of Justice we have a serious case. The accused is Neus Pagès Gelabert. She is charged of murder by the prosecutor Elisenda Lladó Grimau.

E: Do you swear to say the truth and only the truth?
N: Yes
E: Where were you at 7 o'clock in the evening last saturday?
N: Well, I was having a shower in my bathroom, listening radio flaixbac, and you?
E: Just answer the question, please. Well, I continue. Are any person who can corroborate it?
N: Well, I don't know what do you do... but normally, I have a shower alone (looool)
E: Excuse me but, do you know where we are? It's a serious accusation, you could go many years in presion. Do you know the dead Marina Julià fornells?
N: Not at all, but she was in love with me, then I did everything I could to avoid her.
E: Ahà! Do you know if Marina had a relationship with anyone?
N: Yes, she had it to disguise her homosexuality.

Atonement

I saw that film in English class days ago. On the one hand, I like it so much because it has an original plot, nice main characters and good-looking actors. But, all the things have its positive part and its negative part, so... on the other hand I didn’t like the end of the film, the death of the main character, of course! (I’m sorry for you if you haven’t seen it yet!)

Well, let’s tell something about the film. The movie is about a wealthy English family. The couple has 3 daughters; one of them is Briony Tallis. She’s a young girl who loves writing novels about love. Another is Cecilia; she is older than Briony and better person. They, Briony and Cecilia, fall in love with Robbie. Robbie is the son of their housekeeper! And here is the trouble: “two sisters in love with the same boy”. However, Robbie was in love with Cecilia.

Briony started to think that Robbie and Cecilia were two lovers! Briony seems like a good girl who never hurt someone. Sometimes, people seem something and then, they’re completely different!

Briony blamed Robbie for hurt her other sister, because of that, Robbie went tot a prison. The accusation was wrong and Briony was mistaken but she didn’t admit her error. It’s here where a love story about Robbie and Cecilia started.

Think of a profession that is dying out, for example a shepherd or a farmer. Write a dialogue with one of the last sheperds/farmers in your country. Talk about their way of life now and before.

He's 50 years old, he has spent all his life in the farm with his relatives. He's a farmer by trade, and now that profession is dying out. Let's interview him!

- Hi Joan, I'm Neus. If I can I'll ask you some questions.

- Oh, of course. Let's start!

- As you know, now your profession isn't well-known around the world. Maybe, it depends on the people, it's a little bit "strange", right?

- In my opinion, I think strange isn't the word. I'm very fond of my job and I'm really pleased with all my work I have done. I know people who is fed up with that, but it is not my case.

- You love your profesion, don't you?

- Yes, I do. On the one hand it's nice, but on the other hand I devoted my life to animals.

- If I proposed to you to live in a city or in a town, what do you prefer?

- Town! It's more relaxed, here is more more tranquility... All is good!

Felix Baptista disappeared after getting

On December, 10 Felix Baptista disappeared after having a meal in a restaurant with several other people! Let's tell something about him: he served four years in the U.S. Army, because of that, ASI Global has working about his case. Lourdes, his wife, "I don't have words to describe the pain", she said. Moreover she said to journalist he was a wonderful husband. It's curious that he gave talks about kidnappings.

On the day of his kidnapping, like I have said, he was talking with friends when his phone rang. He left the restaurant but, before of that, he told his friends that he had to receive a message. His colleagues saw he got into a vehicle. Here is when he disappeared.
Now Lourdes Batista said that the kidnappers' silence has left her feeling impotent.

She comes from a small family, she's the only child. She lives in a small town.
The first time she came here, was because of she had studied one year in a foreign country, and 3 months in France. Now, she works in Murcia doing class, because she wants to improve her teach.
- Why study a language like Spanish?
- She has a great Spanish teacher so, she liked it so much. They class were funny and she enjoyed it. Moreover, she comes here to improve her Spanish and then, she finished his degree.

Her hobbies are: travel, skiing and football.

Let's revise the countries in Great Britain! Scotland, England, Wales and Northen Ireland. As everybody knows, London is an international city because there is a lot of kind of people: people who come from Spain, France...

In Scotland there are 5.000.000 people. It's a small country but an important too. People who are famous and they live there are: Sean Counery, Alez Fergueson, Andy Murray...

One of the language in Scotland is Gaelic (failté = welcome). The weather is too cold and the typical food there is Haggies.

Shamrock is the nation embalmed of Ireland

ADVICES SHE HAS DONE US:
1. If we do an "erasmus", it would be better if we didn't go to a Spanish friend, but we'll not learn anything.
2. Be teacher is not easy. So, it's satisfactory because you can see they improve their level.
3. We should travel a lot to see different cultures, foods...

Well, now I must speak about my oral presentation. I think we had prepared so much and when we started we had a lot of confidence. We and Marina have done a lot of oral presentation togheter, and I feel I can trust her:

I or she went to my or her house, we decide what we have to say, we study together, we laugh too.. Well, in my opinion I think that in this presentation we had prepared so much, and "the confidence some times is bad". We started to speak and there is a point when we laughed and we couldn't finish.

On the other hand, I think our power point was good, and our idea too.

This film is incredible. It's a little bit old and its duration is too long, so it's particularly nice.
- What's about?
- It's about a girl who has had an accident when she was riding a horse. In the accident, she lost a leg, and for that reason, her life changed. Her horse was seriously injured and the girl's mother knew a man fond of horses. He was interested in girl's horse (well about its case). They went to man's home during a lot of time. The man tried to heal the horse.

I started to see the film a lot of time ago, when I was 12 years old, more or less. Finally, I decided to unload to internet and i could watch it! :)
I recommend you, because it's not similar to others films; it's very different.

"Els Aiguamolls"

L'Alt Empordà.

This photo is wonderful and splendid. It makes me be relaxed. I took it when we went to "Els Aiguamolls" last week when the French students visited us. This day was great, because we learned a little bit about birds, animals... My mother always says to me: "Cada dia aprenem una cosa" (Every day we learn something) and It's true. I took this picture in the morning, because of that, you can't tell the color very well because of the light reflection.

This photo's particularly calm, because everything is quiet around there: the river, the sun, the leaves, the flowers, the small fish... All that you can see in "Els Aiguamolls" is really nice, because it is not at all artificial, on the contrary, all is really natural :) for example; the outstanding color in the photo is blue: blue like the sky, river. There aren't a lot of colors, because in the winter there aren’t any flowers, only for or five kinds, are they?

Slide 4:
Harrods is a department store located on London. It was established in 1834 and as you know, you can find expensive and cheap products there. Nowadays, there is a strong crisis economic what impact on stores. We can see an example in Harrods.
Last year, one of the most expensive dress, that you can find in Harrods, cost 3.000 pounds. This year, it costs 1.500 pounds, it’s incredible but a lot of Harrods’ products go down their valor.
In the other hand, the cheap products also go down their cost in Harrods, but in the exchange with other countries, the Harrods companies lose profit (benefici) because the pound is more expensive than euro and dollar, and the foreign companies prefer to buy the cheap products make outside the United Kingdom.

Now, we’re going to tell you something about London:
London is the capital of the United Kingdom. It has a recorded history that goes back over 2,000 years. During this time, it has grown to become one of the most significant cultural capitals of the world. A lot of schools go there to visit it.
London is so big; it is formed by a city and 32 districts. Nowadays, the city keeps the tradition of before. There you can see the big red bus, the black taxis...
It’s so well-known, for that reason, it has a lot of museums like: Madame Tussauds, Nation Gallery...
London has a metro, of course. The metro in London is also known as “the tube”. How do you spell tube? It’s “T-u-b-e”
We have focus in 3 important cultural places. The first is Westminster Abbey. The second is big ben and the third is Buckingham Palace.

Slide 6:
In my case, I’m going to explain you an important Gothic church in Westminster. First I want to describe a little bit this fabulous construction. In the middle of the two towers you can see a triangular construction typical of gothic. The meaning in Catalan is “gablet”. Also typical of gothic are the pinnacles, you can see in top of the towers. Finally the big windows predominate in all of the balding and for that the light in.

Also we know that English and British monarchs have been crowned in the Abbey since the coronations in 1066.
Nowadays is an important architecture to visit in London.

First of all, Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell (CAMPANA) of the clock that you can see in the tower of Wedminster. The Tower is gothic like Wedminster Abbey, It measures 96 miters.
It was created by Charles Barry time ago. It celebrates its 150th birthday this year. Nowadays, it’s an important tourist attraction.
Moreover, the clock has become a symbol of the United Kingdom and London. Every year, it’s in the Big Ben where the English people celebrated the New Year Eve.

The last episode this week.

This Thursday, Telecinco has transmited the last episode of Sin tetas no hay paraiso in this season.

Thursday and Friday the last episodes of Sin tetas no hay paraiso were transmited in Telecinco at 10o'clock (more or less). Telecinco had two kind of ends. On the one hand, in Thursday was particularly sad because the main character (El Duque) died. But, on the other hand, Telecinco wanted to creat another happier end (like I have said) in Friday at the same time.

Sin tetas no hay paraiso is a romantic serie what explains a story between Catalina (Amaia Salamanca) and Rafael Duque (Ángel Silvestre). It started 2 years ago. It achieved a lot of audience because of the mains characters. He's rather beautiful, atractive, sexy... Moreover, there is also Catalina is nice too.

Grants to conserve birds' nest

Barcelona City Council will pay up to 25% of buildings costs if owner preserve specie habitats.

The Institut Municipal del Paisatge Urbà of the Ajuntament de Barcelona offerts grants to conserve the specie habiats. It pays up to 25% of buildings costs. The only thing what the owners have to do is not to disturb the nests of birds species. the main areas of the city (Barcelona) where there are more nests are in: Eixample, The Gothic quarter and Horta.
There is an answer to replay, what there're such of birds, is because of the good aire quality. Whats more, many of theses species (like swallows) are in decline in towns and cities and have been granted protected status.
Sergi Garcia, who is one of the experts who is working to detect nests and advise architects, said to the Catalonia today that "making the public aware of the importance of theses birds to us, which makes it necessary to conserve their habitats".

In general, the Institut Municial del Paisatge Urbà of the Ajuntament de Barcelona want that the public aware of the importance of theses habitats for the birds.

Efrén win popularity thanks to Hombres y mujeres y viceversa

Efrén, of the well-know TV quiz show, will be the presenter of Pekin Expres.

He's from Madrid, and he's 25 years old. He win his popularity thanks to Hombres y mujeres y viceversa five months ago. He was a contestant in that program. The program is about a quiz show which there is a boy has to choose a girl to have a relationship. In such his case, Efrén took 4 month to chose Soraya (normaly every contestants took one month, more or less) ¿What's the problem? it's when the program was broadcasing he've already had a girlfriend!

However, now he's like a VIP on television because Telecinco and Quatro (two of the more important channels in Spain) offers him to present a differents kinds of TV programs like: 'La Vuelta al Mundo en Directo', 'reality road', 'Tal Cual lo contamos' and 'Pekín Express'.

Woody Allen receives 19th WGA (Writers Guild of America) nomination for "Vicky Cristina Barcelona"

Woody Allen won 19th WGA because of screenplay for his romantic comedy "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" on July 1st, 2008. (that last summer).

Joining Allen, in the original screenplay category, are J. Coen and E. Coen for "Burn After Reading", D. Lance Black for "Milk," Tom McCarthy for "The Visitor" and R. Siegel for "The Wrestler."

The Writers Guild Foundation was created in 1966 by a group of writers guild. The foundation's objective is achieve writers, from third world countries, attends an international meeting of writers held in Los Angeles. Pacha: "Pretty woman"

I'm going to talk about a think that will happen in 5th of December, but I'm not complete sure on this day. Well, today at morning I was having a shower when I listened to the radio a shocking new which attracts attention to me. The journalist told about a breast operation.

Let's begin at the beginning. Do you know what Pacha is? A famous kind of discotheque you can find in Barcelona or in Empuriabrava (of course), València... So Pacha Valencia hand out advertising leaflets to attract more people there, that advertising was called "Pretty woman". This name is referring to have a big breasts, Let me tell you better; If you go to Pacha in 5th of December, there will be a prize draw for a breast operation what is valued at over four thousand pounds (more or less). Of course, now the government is fighting to cancel this prize because it said it's bad to the general women.

The more thing that surprises me was Pacha hasn't been the first discotheque what had done this kind of prize. In Argentina, that kind of prize is in fashion now.

From my point of view, I think we're completely mad. It's incredible the society can accept this advertising because I had ever listened something like that; On the other hand I quite agree with that because there are a lot of people who are worried about their breast.

About my orals presentations.

Today I'll talk about my oral presentations, not only my oral presentation which I have done this year, I'll talk about all my oral presenations, in general.
The last two year we started to do it. In my first, I talked about my birthday. This looked like an elabored work and it was true because I worked it few days ago. I used a paper where there were all I said. I were very nervous; Imagine, my nervous didn't give up to watch the paper!
In my second oral presentation, I did it with Marina Julià, and we liked it very much because we think it was an interesting topic. We talked about "adolescence" and other topics as bulimia, love, anorexia...
Last year I have done 2 presentations. In my first presentation, I talked about my family, but I had a "good" mark (7,5) I was nervous too but I had more experience about to do oral presentations. I think I could do better because everthing always can improve. Moreover, I had a lot of slides which make me relax because It was an aid or a help for me.
The other presentation which I have done was more prepared that the others. I don't know what will be my mark. This presentation I also had a lot of slides! I think this presentation was good, (except for the nervous.) It lasted 8 minuts! I like the topic which we told. What's more? Ahh! this presentation was prepared few four days ago because we searched some information for that presentation. We tryed an "easy" vocabulary to everybody understand all our presentation...
This year, I think my presentation has improve! I haven't read nothing, moreover, I haven't stoped to speak, and... What's more? I think it's all I wanted to say!

Computers have made the word a better place?

Can you imagine a world without computer? It is clear that the computers have become a very practical thing in our times; moreover, they're essential for the business, school... Although not everyone agrees about all that.

On the one hand, I'm going to tell you just few of a thousands of good things computer can do and bring: we can enjoy with them playing computer games, chatting and, of course, surfing in Internet to visit a lot of web pages; they help us to do a lot of things like investigation, to know more information about some topic faster...

However, all the things have their positive aspect and their negative aspect. Some people say it's sad that we say that the computers are necessary, because, few years ago they didn't exist and our grandparents could live. Moreover, there are a lot of poor people, who go hungry and are cold, don't thing about that and they can live without computers. Nevertheless, they have others negative aspects, one of them is their contamination!

All in all, the computers made the world a better place depending on how much we abuse of them.

I agree with the idea that humor is necessary to survive. In my opinion, laughter is essential to tranquility.

On the one hand, I fundamentally believe everybody has a sense of humor, because, laughter physically relaxes people. It is clear that work is serious business and we need laugh to relieve emotional tension which the work does
On the other hand, even I agree that reducing stress is the key to be happy all the time. It enables people take a step their worries or fears.
Finally, when we’re laughing, we’re relaxing the muscles in the face; furthermore, we’re feeling something strange in our belly, like a tickling.

All in all, people who want to be happy need humor.

Barraques Girona'08

This weekend, Girona celebrates "les festes de Sant Narcís" (it hasn't traduction in english). A lot of citys celebrates a different days of year "big parties". And, in that case, Girona does some of them during the two next weeks on October.
The entrance is free, of course. There, there are a lot of kind of people like: skins, spanish, catalan... The young people like going there because there are everybody; however, you can meet your teachers, your parents, your grandparents (it's more strange, but it's possible) etcetera.
The moment of the party to the young people starts at 24 o'clock, more or less. On the other hand, there is the funfaires in the morning and in the afternoon: The most communt funfairse are: Boomerang, "ship pirate", "witch house"... Moreover, you can go there at night, as well. I'm sure you have fun!

Like every year, Girona invited to go some grups of music. This weekend they are:

The new single of Jonas Brothers.

Jonas Brothers have released their third single, which name is "A little bit longer"

Their music race started when they acted in Disney Chanel (A TV programme) The band consists of three brothers: Nick Jonas (the best know as one of the Jonas Brothers), Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas. They published their first studio album in 2006: "It's about time", then did "Jonas Brothers" (2008). Nowadays, they have done "A little bit longer". A little bit longer was released on August in United States; just like their second album: "Jonas Brothers", that it's increible because they have released on June in the same year. In their last CD, there are songs like: Pushin' me Away, tonigh, burnin' up (...)
The Jonas Brothers announced that they would be opening up for Avril Lavigne, alongboys like girls (an american rock band) but the last, on their second leg of the tour in Europe.
The band filmed in Disney Channel a film that was called Camp Rock.
Moreover the Jonas Brothers are all committed Evangelical Christians. They always pray for have lucky to their concerts; they are also famous to their purity ring!

I want to talk about my sister, Montserrat. First of all, she’s rather dark-haired and she’s particularly open-minded; for that reason, two of her friends say to her she’s like Blanca Romero. Blanca Romero is an actress who works in a series of TV. Moreover, she has studied philosophy like my sister.

She often wears a pair of glasses when she’s watching TV. She’s very sensible because she does some good advice like: “you should study more if you want to…” But my sister isn’t perfect like everybody; she’s a little bit big-headed.

In addiction, she loves working. But, on the other hand, she’s particularly outgoing, in other words, she loves going to discos! :)

The park of Forum celebrates

the first festival to the riders, this weekend.

There are 200 riders to compete for a cap and bag.

Richie Velásquez was born in New York, but now he lives in California (exactly Tehachapi, a town where there are 15.000 people) Near his town, there's "Camp Woodward". It's a place where there are a lot of children who go there to skate. Richie Velásquez is the king of "inline". It's his life, he has competed in a lot of places and he always wins! All this reason make him hop to win this championships. He said on Thursday there aren't a lot of championships like that and he wants to take advantage. he hope the weather would be nice like all the participatings. The most well-know are Richie Velásquez, Nicky Guerrero, Thomas Kring, Werner Sandoz, Eric Bailey and Miguel Ramos.

In this championship there are a diferent kind of people, who likes inline and skateboard, or urban jibbing and wakeboard, or BMX and FMX. All this words are in english, they haven't traduction in others language.

Nowadays, a lot of couples go there in their honeymoon, it’s particularly romantic, beautiful and old.

Last two weeks, I went to the cinema with Marina, Carles and Paolo (our friends). We went to watch "Wanted"! The famous film which stars Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman. It's a wonderful, atractive, witty, mysterious... movie.
The plot is about a good boy who works in a company where everybody impose him because he never complains. On the other hand, we have a mafia where works Angelina Jolie. This mafia works to kill people across a note that they recibe from time to time.
Wesley Gibson, the good boy, has never met his father; and he hasn't know something about him. One day that Wesley Gibson went to a sumpermarket to buy a drug to his nervous. Angelina Jolie said to him that a man was chasing him. He was worried about it. She took him a manufacture where her mafia works...
Here, start all the plot of the film. There are a lof of lies, envy and jealousy, betrayals...

I recomend you this film because you'll enjoy.
:) I have put its trailer, but.. I not very keen on seeing the trailers of the films, because, some of them tell you the ending of the film! arghhh!

Hi Lourdes,
I'm Neus Pagès, as you know. I'm only seventeen because my birthday is on 12th November; I'm scorpion like Elisabeth (my last English teacher), isn't it? I remember Elisabeth told me that. By the way, I hope that I don't do any mistakes in this writing!

I’ll describe myself using three adjectives: particularly talkative when I’m with my friends (I’m quite keen on speaking with other teenagers because I think that a good conversation can open the way for our future) I’m funny too and, rather positive (because we’re teenagers and we are full of life).

I quite like doing our BlogSpot or portfolio, because I can tell to my friends, my teachers... about different things: my aspiration, my thoughts... It seems the “fotolog”. My fotolog is: www.fotolog.com/neus3_3 there I speak about my feelings with songs or expressions.
My favourite TV program is Hospital Central, because I love medicine but I wouldn't like to be doctor because I think doctors have a lot of responsibility. I absolutely like surfing the Internet (messenger, fotolog’s, blogs, chats…) I like going to "messenger" because, in my opinion, it's very funny, communicative, and modern and the usual stuff. I'm very keen on watching films. My favourite film is: “Diez razones para odiarte” in English: 10 things I hate about you, and “Un paseo para recordar” in English: “A walk to remember”.
My hobby's volleyball but I don't play it since I was 14 years old, because I go to "EOI" and I haven't free time. I’m doing third to Escola Oficial d’Idiomes in Figueres!
